DB Power Limited, a proud member of the Dainik Bhaskar Group, is one of India’s leading Independent Power Producers with a 1200 MW (2x600 MW) super thermal power plant in Badadarha, Sakti, Chhattisgarh. Spanning 630 acres, the plant combines advanced engineering with sustainable operations. Commissioned in 2014–2016 with technology from BHEL, DB Power has consistently delivered excellence with a PLF of 84.43% and 90.70% availability in FY 2024–25 .Certified under ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and ISO 50001:2018,DB Power stands for reliability, efficiency, and environmental responsibility.

A dynamic leader and visionary entrepreneur, Girish Agarwal has played a pivotal role in transforming the Bhaskar Group into one of India’s largest media houses. He spearheaded the launch of Divya Bhaskar in Gujarat, establishing a new benchmark in regional journalism, and was instrumental in conceptualizing and launching DNA (Daily News & Analysis), one of Mumbai’s leading English dailies. Recognized as Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2006 by Ernst & Young, Girish Agarwal is celebrated for his innovative strategies and bold decisions that have reshaped the media landscape.

Pawan Agarwal

With a keen eye on technology and innovation, Pawan Agarwal drives the Bhaskar Group’s IT and infrastructure development initiatives. An Industrial Engineering graduate from Purdue University, he has been at the forefront of leveraging emerging wireless and digital solutions to expand the group’s reach. He played a central role in launching My FM, one of India’s largest private FM networks, and in establishing DNA (Daily News & Analysis) in collaboration with the Zee Group. As Director of Diligent Media Corporation, Pawan Agarwal continues to push boundaries in print, radio, and digital platforms, ensuring the Bhaskar Group remains at the cutting edge of media and communications.
