• Regular identification, assessment, and mitigation of safety hazards to proactively manage workplace risks.
• Enhancement of safety awareness by providing periodic, job-specific OHS training and demonstrations—both on-the-job and off-the-job—delivered by internal and external experts.
• Continuous monitoring, counseling, and follow-up to ensure compliance with OHS requirements and applicable legal regulations.
• Periodic internal and external OHS audits to evaluate the effectiveness of existing systems and identify areas for continual improvement.

Fire & Safety Responsibility

• Ensure 100% OHS training for all personnel—including contract employees, visitors, and consultants—to promote awareness and adherence to DBPL's specific OHS practices.
• Conduct pre-employment and periodic health check-ups for all employees, including contractual staff, to ensure workforce health and fitness for duty.
• Ensure the availability of a valid Permit to Work (PTW) before initiating any job, accompanied by the relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Safety Management Plans (SMPs), and other required documentation.
• Provide appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to all workers and ensure their proper use during work activities.
• Deploy competent safety and maintenance personnel during high-risk or hazardous operations to manage associated risks effectively.
• Maintain the operational readiness and integrity of all automatic fire detection and protection systems, along with fire appliances, especially in fire-prone O&M areas.
• Ensure round-the-clock availability of trained and competent fire crews, security personnel, and medical teams within the plant premises for effective emergency response and mitigation.
